[edit]The videographer vs photographer section needs to be edited for neutrality.
More emphatically, this page is an embarrassment. The photographer-videographer debate has no place here (speaking as one who does both professionally). Why not just remove that part entirely? It seems too obvious to even include, but you could also write "At events where both photographers and videographers are working, it is advantageous for them to coordinate with each other."
Yanked the links to the PVAs (professional video associations regional). There are so many that including them all could turn the whole thing into a links farm. Also pulled the AAEV since this is nothing but 2 people's attempt to approve themselves and has been a "dead" site for years. Left the two national orgainzations in because they can be sources of information.
I agree with the opinion that flagged this entry, it was a disaster. More of a promotion for selling event video to the public than an informative article of what event video is. And the links area was in danger of becoming a farm for self promotion like:
- Total Training
- Wrigley Video Productions
- Guide to Professional Wedding Videography
Total training doesn't need links if you are in the industry you've heard of them. Wrigley I have no idea who they are a better link for Adobe stuff would be Creative Cow and Hal Landen and his guide to PWV can promote themselves. It's not even an updated resource. Photos vs Video has no place in an encylopedia the industry can promote its self on that grounds. Moved the shooting styles over to the wedding videography entry since they apply more to that. Major Changes
[edit]Now that wedding videography is looking better it's time to start work on this one. How to start a wedding company is not a encyclopedic type entry. There are plenty of articles that do far more justice to starting a business than the few brief lines that existed here.
Deleted the delivery formats. Maybe it should return as a heading "formats that video take" but not as delivery formats.
Started a listing of catagories that Event Videography cover. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BJ Peterson (talk • contribs) 04:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
